As we approach our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April 2025, we are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the upcoming IRG Executive Elections. This is your opportunity to contribute to the leadership and direction of the International Repeater Group. (updated: Meeting is set for April 27, Doaktown)
Executive Positions Open for Nomination
President
- Presides over all meetings of the IRG.
- Ensures meetings are conducted per the Constitution and Bylaws.
- Signs official documents and performs all customary presidential duties.
Vice-President
- Assumes all duties of the President in their absence.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as delegated by the President.
Secretary-Treasurer
- Maintains records of meeting proceedings and membership.
- Manages correspondence, meeting notices, and membership applications.
- Oversees financial matters, including receipts, expenditures, and preparing audited statements for the AGM.
Area Representatives
- Represent the interests of specific regions covered by our repeater network.
- Serve as a liaison between members in their area and the Executive Committee.
Nomination Process
Nominations can be submitted via the contact form on the IRG website at https://ve9irg.net/index.php/contact/nomination_committee , or in writing to the Secretary-Treasurer.
To nominate, please provide the following details:
- Full Name of the Nominee
- Position Being Nominated For
- Contact Information of the Nominee
Self-nominations are also welcome. We would ask that you please engage your nominee to ensure they will accept the nomination. Please ensure that all nominations are submitted no later than March 31, 2025.
Election Details
Elections will take place during the AGM in April 2025. All full members in good standing are eligible to vote. A quorum is required for the election to proceed, as outlined in the IRG Constitution.
Your participation is vital to the continued success and growth of the IRG. We encourage you to step forward or nominate individuals who share our commitment to furthering the interests of Amateur Radio and the broader community.
