New network diagrams are available with all new repeaters and zones indicated, available at the “Network” tab. Members can access the same map, but including current linking codes on the “Linking” tab which only appears when logged-in.
Effective July 12, changes to IRG repeater Zones have been made as part of the upgrade of equipment. Significant changes include:
- Stanley VE9NRV and Grand Lake VE9GLA are now included in the Central Zone (hard-linked with Doaktown, Miramichi and Scotch Mtn.)
- The new Fredericton UHF (442.025) is now included in the Central Zone. Fredericton VE1BM VHF (147.120) remains in EMO Zone.
- Grove Hill (Saint John) VE9STM is now included in the South West Zone (hard-linked with St. Stephen, Campobello Island, and Maces Bay)
- The DTMF link code for East Zone (Moncton, Acadieville and Sackville) has changed.
- The DTMF link code for West Zone (Kintore Mtn, Crabbe Mtn. & Skiff Lake) has changed.
- Reminder: avoid disclosing link codes on-air to avoid malicious use!
Other than listed above, all frequencies, CTCSS tones, and DTMF link codes remain as they were.
There may still be some issues with linking, as audio levels and master controller changes are still to be made. Any outages or abnormal operating conditions will be noted in Network News block on the right side of most pages. For more information about the upgrade project, visit: https://ve9irg.net/revamp
