Two things to pass along in this edition:
- Hurricane Dorian: At this time, there has been no request for CANWARN activation. However, the NB EMO Provincial Emergency Operations Centre is currently activated and there may be periodic radio nets on the IRG system throughout the activation period. Net Control at VE9EMO will provide specific instructions of any procedures or information required. This is a good chance for you to check your signal to or from various repeaters. As always during such events, we encourage everyone to keep an ear to your radio and ensure you have a safe way to keep in touch should other means of communications fail. You may be able to help others in need of assistance.
- IRG Fall Meeting: The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Upper Kingsclear Rec Centre. The meeting starts at 2:00 pm, with a pot luck to follow. You can find directions and further information on the web site, and reminders will be announced on the various nets.
